Sunrise Flights

Watch the Sky Wake Up From a Hot Air Balloon

Imagine This:

You start your day with the magical experience of flying in a hot air balloon. As you relax and breathe in the cool morning air, you also take in one-of-a-kind aerial views. Who needs coffee when you are soaring thousands of feet above the ground?

The perfect morning doesn’t have to exist only in your imagination; Rainbow Ryders can make it a reality. We offer sunrise hot air balloon flights year-round in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Phoenix, Arizona, and from June to September in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Park City, Utah.

What to Expect

Your early-morning adventure, which lasts roughly 3.5 to 4 hours, begins at one of our designated check-in locations. Five things you can expect to happen after arriving are:

  • You meet your pilot and complete waivers.
  • Our ground chase crew uses one of our vans to escort you to the launch site the pilot has chosen based on weather and wind conditions.
  • You can witness and help the fascinating inflation process, which takes about 15 minutes.
  • You board the basket and lift off just after the sun peeks over the horizon, enjoying the breathtaking landscapes and serene atmosphere.
  • After you drift through the skies for about an hour, you make a fun yet controlled landing and cross this unmatched experience off your bucket list.

What to Bring

To fully enjoy this thrilling outdoor adventure, we suggest wearing hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and closed-toed shoes. You should focus on dressing comfortably for the ground, as flight temperatures will mimic what’s on the surface.

Post-Flight Fun

After a gentle yet exciting landing, you’ll celebrate with a traditional toast, and our chase crew will transport you back to the check-in location, where you can pick up light snacks and your flight certificate. Since the entire experience lasts about 3.5 to 4 hours, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy brunch or another activity afterward!
