While Colorado Springs operates seasonally, our commitment to safety is our top priority year-round. Our highly skilled pilots have a collective flight time exceeding 100,000 hours, and each holds an FAA commercial pilot’s license and a current second-class medical certificate.

Rainbow Ryder’s pilots are also required to attend multiple safety seminars, annual flight reviews, and undergo random drug and alcohol testing. Moreover, our top-tier equipment undergoes regular inspections through an FAA-certified repair station, as well as thorough inspections both before and after every flight at each of our locations.

Over our 40+ years of operation, Rainbow Ryders has had the honor of being part of some of the world’s largest and most celebrated hot air balloon festivals. Three events that we are the official ride operator of are:
