Before Your Balloon Ride
Regardless of whether you were gifted a Rainbow Ryders hot air balloon ride, spontaneously booked one with friends or family, or had it planned out as part of your bucket list, you must meet our flight requirements and sign a release form.
Who Can Fly
In order to fly with Rainbow Ryders, you must meet these six requirements:
- You must be at least 5 years old and in good health
- If you are below the age of 18, you must have parental permission
- You cannot be pregnant or possibly pregnant
- Since walkers and wheelchairs cannot come on board, you must be able to stand for one hour unassisted
- You must be able to swing your legs up and over the side of the basket to get in (similar to mounting a horse)
- To exit the basket, you must be physically able to jump from the height of a standard dining room chair to the groundÂ
Even if you meet these requirements, Rainbow Ryders still has the final say on whether you can fly. Our goal is to ensure safety and an enjoyable experience for everyone.
