The dynamic relationship between Arizona and Canada has a long and fascinating history. Early on, Canadian visitors discovered winters in the Sonora Desert and the bilateral trade between the two areas exceeds $3.7 billion annually, with more than 146,000 Arizona jobs dependent on that trade with Canada. In honoring this relationship, the State of Arizona and Governor Douglas A. Ducey proclaimed February 7-13 as Canada Week.
