Rainbow Ryders was asked to pilot the hot air balloon that carried the film crew documenting the Red Bull Stratos scientific mission.
The goal of the Red Bull Stratos project was to launch a stratospheric balloon to 120,000 feet where one man attempted to break the speed of sound in freefall.
Last week, our pilot Taylor Aldous, COMPLETED a high altitude flight for the Stratos crew from the Roswell Airport (KROW) – the exact same spot that the Red Bull Stratos balloon is launched.
Rainbow Ryders rises to every occasion – creating experiences of a lifetime
It was a great day for Rainbow Ryders Pilot Taylor Aldous and the Red Bull Stratos camera crew. In 1 hour and 32 minutes our hot air balloon traveled up 35.3 miles with a maximum altitude of 15,500 MSL.
The project is making history. And everyone at Rainbow Ryders is proud to be a part of the Red Bull Stratos Project.
Well done everyone!
